MUSIC LOVERS GET IT: SCENE PARTNERS WITH LIVE NATION
Partnership gives SCENE members access to hot music, merchandise and more
Toronto, ON – October 27, 2009 – SCENE, the entertainment rewards program launched by
Scotiabank and Cineplex Entertainment, today announced a strategic partnership with Live
Nation (NYSE:LYV), the world’s largest producer of live concerts. The partnership significantly
expands SCENE’s current music rewards offering, giving SCENE members access to the hottest
live music events across Canada.
Through the partnership with Live Nation, SCENE members can redeem as little as 50 points for
a chance to see their favorite bands at some of the best venues across Canada including the
Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. In addition,
members are able to purchase tickets to some of the most highly anticipated concerts from a
selection of seats reserved exclusively for SCENE members. Members will also receive a 15
percent discount on music merchandise and memorabilia at Live Nation’s online store.
“We know our members love the free movie and concession rewards at Cineplex theatres, and
as entertainment lovers, they’ve told us music is also top on their list,” said Shawn Bloom,

In 2009, Live Nation will produce over 1,100 shows across Canada, and SCENE members have
already had an opportunity to redeem their points this summer for first class music experiences
at shows including Dave Matthews Band, Nickelback, Beyonce? and The Killers, to name a few.
