2009 Juno Nominee Ivana Santilli signs with CP Records

March 9, 2009, Toronto - Canadian indie R&B Icon and 2009 Juno Nominee Ivana Santilli has signed an exclusive recording and management agreement with one of Canada's top independent record labels, CP Records.

Ivana Santilli burst onto the music scene as a member of the soul/funk band Bass is Base in the mid 1990's. The outfit released two very successful and critically acclaimed albums making waves both north and south of the border, winning a Juno Award in Canada and garnering a hit song in the US.  Her debut solo release Brown proved equally as successful making the multi instrumentalist Santilli one of Canada’s biggest selling independent R&B artists. Recently, Ivana has been climbing the charts again with the 70's influenced Been Thru This for which she has received a 2009 Juno nomination for Best R&B Recording. Catching the keen eye of CP Records, VP of A&R and 2008 Best Rap Recording Juno Award winner Belly, who collaborated in co-writing a series of songs with the Italian-Canadian Santilli in Ottawa.  Hoping to follow in the footsteps of over a dozen Canadian Top 10 and Top 20 singles  by Belly in the past few years for various artists, Ivana’s first single “Your Girl Tonight” is being released to radio across Canada today.  The debut single on CP Records contains a very fresh beat by in-house producer DaHeala with the irrevocable Santilli soul stamp on it. To heat things up the song was mixed in Miami by Goggs and the result is pure fire..Caliente!
