There's a funny story behind Mishka's debut album. It's the first release on Matthew McConaughey's J.K. Livin label. Apparently, as the story goes, the annoying actor hadn't slept for days, but upon hearing Mishka's music, he slept like a log.

Yeah, it made us all a little sleepy, too.

Well I have listened to the record, a lot. Mishka rocks. In a word, SOUL. One of the best records that I have purchased so far in 2009 (I buy A LOT of music). By rocks, I'm not saying that it is loud or hard like Nirvana, I only meant that the message, the arrangements, the lyrics and the overall quality of this release rocks. Nothing mellow about this record once you listen.
