The sound quality on this two-disc set that features songs from The Doors' self-titled debut and Strange Days (along with some later songs like "Crawling King Snake") isn't that great, since Jim Morrison's voice sounds more like a yelp at certain points than anything that even remotely sounds like it's been soaked in whiskey. Whoever they were playing for obviously didn't know what to make of them, hence the scattered applause at the end of several songs (particularly "The End"). It still somehow manages to be more badass than 99.99999999999999999999 per cent of these ridiculous nu-metal bands that are spontaneously regenerating all over the place these days, though.
