Folks have been finding Neil's albums a little weak in recent years, but when you're just judging by the album content you're missing half the deal.
For example, Greendale was designed to be more than just an album, it was an album/book/stage show/movie, so what you're listening to is only part of the experience. Prairie Wind was designed to fill song holes dedicated to people he hadn't already written songs about that he could use in his Heart Of Gold movie set list. Living With War? That was tailored so that CSNY would have some new rebel songs when they went on tour after this release.
Presumably, this means when Neil releases his Archives set it'll also come with a firs-person shooter video game called Ohio.
