I've been invited to have dinner at Montreal's Queen Elizabeth Hotel in suite 1742, where John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged their bed-in for peace and recorded "Give Peace A Chance" on June 1, 1969, as a guest of legendary music photographer Bob Gruen and Brian Liss of Toronto's Liss Gallery.
I had a great conversation with Gruen when he was in Toronto last year and would love to hear more of his stories about spending time with and photographing some of my rock 'n' roll heroes, including Lennon. And to do it in that hotel suite would probably be magical.
I just have to figure out if I can spare a weekend and the cash to do it.
