My softball team lost in the semi-finals on Sunday to the championship-winning Menace and the league had its year-end banquet at Toronto's Hideout afterward. I stayed until they wouldn't serve us anymore and a couple of teammates came to my place afterward. My clock said 5:30 when I went to bed this morning. There was a person crashed on my couch when I came to work, when I still felt a little buzzed. I received a phone call this morning from the publicist for Big Rock Brewery, who told me to expect a treat. We also got a call from a company promoting absinthe (the good stuff, with wormwood), who's also going to treat us. The Polaris Music Prize ceremony happens in six hours. It's hard to beat that on a Monday.

Looks like Bob Geldof may have been wrong about Mondays.
