Morrissey turns 50 today. I thought I'd honour his fondness for the ridiculous and over-the-top and post a "video collage" of my favourite Mozzer video moments.

The Smiths: "This Charming Man" (The Smiths, 1984)
Those infamous gladioli show up.

The Smiths: "How Soon Is Now?" (Meat Is Murder, 1985)
An unauthorized video in which Johnny Marr teaches Morrissey how to play guitar. The band really, really didn't like this video.

The Smiths: "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" (The Queen Is Dead, 1986)
Mozzer wears the most disgusting shirt I've ever seen.

The Smiths: "Girlfriend In A Coma" (Strangeways, Here We Come, 1987)
You don't really get more typical Morrissey than him singing all fey-like over clips from The Leather Boys.

The Smiths: "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" (Strangeways, Here We Come, 1987)
In which Mozzer leads a bicycle gang of look-alikes around Manchester.

Morrissey: "Suedehead" (Viva Hate, 1989)
Mozzer pays tribute to Oscar Wilde and James Dean, two of his biggest influences, in this clip.

Morrissey: "Everyday Is Like Sunday" (Viva Hate, 1989)
This clip features a young Drew Barrymore.

Morrissey: "You're The One For Me, Fatty" (Your Arsenal, 1992)
The red shirt is so ridiculously camp, and what the hell is with the desert-like set?

Morrissey: "November Spawned A Monster" (Bona Drag, 1990)
Forget that, this one was actually shot in a desert, and the get-up is even more ridiculous! That's the only reason this clip is out of order, chronologically speaking.

Morrissey: "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" (Years Of Refusal, 2009)
It's a very simple video, but what the heck is that necklace? Oh man.
