Two of Tuesday's Canadian new releases can be heard for free on the internet... legally.
Gentleman Reg's Jet Black, the man born Reg Vermue's first album since 2004's Darby & Joan, can now be heard on his MySpace page. I think it may be my favourite album of 2009 so far.
You'll be able to see and hear Reg do some of the album's songs when he plays Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on March 12 at 11:10 p.m. as part of the annual CHARTattack/Horseshoe Tavern/Canadian Music Week showcases. We'll post an interview with Reg later today.
K'Naan's getting tons of attention south of the border for his sophomore album, Troubadour, which also came out on Tuesday. It's up now on his MySpace.
