Check Out Hunter S. Thompson On Conan O'Brien

Hunter S. Thompson may not have been a musician, but the former Rolling Stone magazine writer and Gonzo journalist is important in music history nonetheless.

This morning, Rollingstone.com posted a video of Thompson on Late Night With Conan O'Brien from way back. O'Brien had been trying to get Thompson on the show for years, but Thompson refused to appear on the show unless O'Brien showed up at his ranch to drink whiskey and shoot guns.

We're pretty sure no one should ever consume this much whiskey, especially while shooting M-16s. And that Thompson is shooting at targets of himself is both creepy and eerily prophetic.
