Weezy's Not Dead... And Neither Is Wiley

"The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."
-- Mark Twain
Paul McCartney's not dead, punk's not dead and neither is Lil Wayne.
This weekend, a fake BBC News story began making its way around the internet, saying that Lil Wayne had been shot to death by a gang of Crips after a feud between that gang and the Bloods in New Orleans.
This isn't the case, though, as Weezy is very much alive.
British rapper Wiley was also the subject of a death hoax on Monday. Another fake BBC News report began circulating saying the rapper had been stabbed to death in London's Hackney borough. To stop the rumours, Wiley posted a blog on his MySpace which stated pretty bluntly, "I AM NOT DEAD."
Some things just require capslock for extra emphasis' sake.
According to The Guardian newspaper, the pranks could be the work of "cyber terrorists" Anonymous, who previously defaced hip-hop sites AllHipHop and SOHH with racial slurs.
Ew.
