M.I.A. Will Leave U.S. If McCain Wins

I am going to post at least one American election-related thing a day until Tuesday.
M.I.A. has said she will leave the United States, her current country of residence, if Republican presidential candidate John McCain wins the American election on Tuesday. M.I.A., who supports Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, says if Americans elect another Republican president, she will leave the country.
M.I.A. (real name Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam) is currently living in the States with her fiance, The Exit singer Ben Brewer. She is pregnant with their first child. But despite having recently made the U.S. her new home, she says she isn't opposed to packing up and leaving.
"If McCain gets voted in, then I'm outta here faster than anyone can say 'Obama,'" she told the World Entertainment News Network.
"I'm here because it's an interesting time. It's important to be here watching and saying to people, 'Look, your country has been so dumb for eight years. If you fuck up one more time, that's a whole generation of dumb people."
Let's all take a minute to remember that M.I.A. recently said she was "retiring" from the music business...
