All four members of The Stone Roses were fined 3,000 British pounds (about $5,800 Canadian) each after a British court finds them guilty of criminal damage of their former record company's office.

Following the release of The Stone Roses' self-titled 1989 debut album, their former record label, FM Revolver, decided to re-release one of their first singles, "Sally Cinnamon" and make a new video for the track. This pissed the guys off, since they felt it was an attempt to cash in on their success, and they were also upset with the video, which they called "third-rate."

On Jan. 30, 1990, The Stone Roses showed up at FM Revolver's offices and began to argue with the label boss, Paul Birch, about what FM Revolver had done. Finding that things were getting nowhere, they threw paint all over the offices and vandalized two cars outside.
