Oh Wow, Poor Taste

Some things are just in poor taste, like barfing on rental gowns and returning them with mold growing on them, peanut butter mixed with mayonnaise, or... throwing a suicide-themed sweet 16 party when your dad offed himself.

Frances Bean Cobain, who's late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's daughter, turned 16 in August and decided to celebrate by throwing herself a bash at Los Angeles' House Of Blues restaurant. Mindless Self Indulgence performed, and Love apparently spent $323,000 U.S. ($333,000 Canadian) on the bash.

But it wasn't your typical sweet 16 bash, because the theme was... suicide. According to Gossip Rocks, Cobain sent this invitation out to her bash:

"My one and only sweet 16 . .. eerrrr actually it's my suicidal 16. .. We are also having a contest, it's the 'who can look most dead contest.' If you dress up dead and are picked as the top three, you will receive an iPod Touch and a $200 gift certificate to Amoeba. So get that face paint on, and try to make it as realistic as you can."

Did anyone dress up as Kurt? 

She knows what happened to her dad, right? I mean, she interned at Rolling Stone...
