If you head over to Ryan Adams & The Cardinals' newly resurrected Foggy blog, you can hear a clip of "Fix It," the first single from Cardinology, which is out Oct. 28. It sounds more in line with the material on 2005's Cold Roses than anything on Adams' last few releases.
Additionally, if you register for an account at cardinology.com, you'll get a password to view a video Adams made of himself performing "Crossed-Out Name," another new song from Cardinology.
Before you get to the performance, though, there's a strange appearance from some of Adams' stuffed animal friends. We wonder if the gurgling sound at the beginning of the video (water bongs, anyone?) might have something to do with this.

I think "Fix It" sounds exactly like what they've been doing live, along with his amazing vocals from the past tour. It's totally jammy and space rock, it sounds pretty different than anything he's recorded before, it should be interesting. I can see comparisons to Cold Roses but that was alot folkier sounding. Though i hope since this is the "Jacksonville follow-up" that there are hints or undertones of that on the record. I hope the alt-country is not ditched completely.
