Cardinology... (Updated!)

... is the title of the new Ryan Adams album, which is coming out Oct. 28 through Lost Highway.
This one is with Adams' backing band The Cardinals (drummer Brad Pemberton, pedal steel player Jon Graboff, guitarist Neal Casal and bassist Chris Feinstein).
UPDATE: We don't have much more information on it yet, but there are unconfirmed reports showing up on the Ryan Adams Archive message board that the album is produced by The Cardinals and Tom Schick, who handled 2005's Cold Roses and Jacksonville City Nights. It's also apparently "more rock and roll than country," and if you've noticed, Adams has changed his wardrobe again lately, and is wearing clothes that seem to harken back to the days of 2003's Rock N Roll. He's also been playing new songs live lately, but it's not known whether those songs will make it onto Cardinology.
I personally can't wait for this one, and am also excited about Adams' upcoming book, Infinity Blues (which still doesn't have a release date). Sadly, it appears his blog, Foggy, has gone kaput again.
UPDATE #2: Also, check out this video which made its way onto YouTube in April, courtesy Adams:
