Akon Must Go To Court For Alleged Kid Toss

You might remember that last December Akon was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harrassment from an incident in which he allegedly threw a crowd member off a stage at a show in June 2007. Akon has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

A town justice has now said Akon will have to stand trial in the case. The trial is scheduled to start Dec. 1. If Akon is found guilty, he could face up to a year and 15 days in jail.

The irony of this? The Smoking Gun says Akon fabricated his criminal past and has never actually been convicted of anything. If he's found guilty, he could actually be a con. (Ha. Ha aha ahahaha ahahahahahaa.)

If you're not familiar with the alleged incident, here's a recap. After a 15-year-old boy threw something at Akon while Akon was performing in New York in June 2007, Akon got security to bring the boy up on stage. Akon is then alleged to have picked up the boy and thrown him back into the crowd. When the boy landed, he hit another concertgoer, who suffered a concussion.

It's up to a court to decide whether or not Akon actually did it, but this video posted on YouTube is allegedly of Akon throwing the boy:

And of course, it wouldn't be YouTube without drama. Here's a video of someone who says he's the kid Akon chucked and someone else's response:
