I own an iPod, but for the most part I don't use it and stubbornly cling to my nearly 10-year-old Discman. I listen to a different album every day on the old clunker, and here's today's:
Eddie Vedder's songs on Music From The Motion Picture Into The Wild are more folky than anything you'll find on Pearl Jam's releases, since many feature banjos and mandolins, among other folk instruments.
For the most part, the tracks on the disc are more brief sketches than they are songs, since very few tracks break the two or three minute mark. Vedder's been playing songs from Music From The Motion Picture Into The Wild on his current solo tour and it'll be interesting to see how they translate live. He's at Massey Hall tonight.
