Year-end lists are always fun to read, but I find can be a total pain to make. Why, you ask? I'm indecisive as all hell. So after I racked my brains and finally handed in my list, there were some things that should've been on there that there just wasn't room for. Also, hindsight can be a real bitch, and when I listened more intently to some albums that I kind of skipped over in the past few months, I felt like an idiot.
So voila: My other top 10 of 2008 (aka "The second half of my Top 20 list" aka "Honourable Mentions" aka "Get at me, music!") [This last line will make more (or less) sense after watching these videos.]

GIRL TALK Feed The Animals
This should've been in my top 10. The mash-ups will have you smiling again and again, whether you're at the gym looking for an extra push, or chillin' at a house party. (Check out the insane list of samples used here.)

THE WAKING EYES Holding On To Whatever It Is
I finally concur with everyone else in the office.... Great stuff. I put it in my CD player and literally had it on repeat for a few days. And then I told myself I had to stop or I'd get sick of it. But then it got stuck in my head... It's been a struggle ever since.

FRIGHTENED RABBIT The Midnight Organ Fight
I love this album to pieces, even if it's pretty heavy emotionally to get through.

TV ON THE RADIO Dear Science
I still haven't listened to this enough, but there is a middle track on here that is super awesome.

LAND OF TALK Some Are Lakes
I have a mad girl crush on you, Lizzie Powell!

NO AGE Nouns
Not only did Randy Randall and Dean Spunt make a great album, but it comes with a 68-page full-colour booklet. I don't know what kind of sexual favours they had to perform at Sub Pop to get this printed, but damn was it worth it!

MGMT Oracular Spectacular
"Time To Pretend" is my number one track of 2008. Some of the other tracks are alittle drab at times, but this song is so amazing that it makes up for it.

THE WALKMEN You & Me
There's no "The Rat" on here, or "We've Been Had" for that matter, but it's still a pretty great listen.
THE TING TINGS We Started Nothing
I'm a sucker for fun/catchy pop tunes. So sue me.

HEY ROSETTA! Into Your Lungs...
Gotta give da bys from home some love.

That Frightened Rabbit album is hard to listen to, but it's a pretty fantastic record.
