R.I.P. Adrian Bromley

I just found out that Adrian Bromley died on this past Sunday morning from a lingering bout of pneumonia.
Adrian was a long-time metal writer here at Chart as well as being the main man behind his own metal magazine, Unrestrained.
More importantly, for me anyway, he was basically the man when I was coming up in school.
Adrian and I went to the same journalism program at Toronto's Centennial College. He was a year ahead of me and everything he did was basically what I set out to shamelessly copy. He was the editor of the student newspaper... so I became the editor of the student newspaper when he graduated. He wrote for Chart, so I needed to write for Chart... and look where that led me. He was a trailblazer and a really big influence on me and really, he had no idea. Heck, I had no idea he was even sick.
In all my time knowing him he was one of the most relentless, hard-working, tireless people ever and was someone I had the deepest respect for.
If there's any consolation, hopefully he's getting to hear Dimebag and Randy Rhoads blowing minds together in some far-off place right now.
