The Tragically Hip's leader Gord Downey was in fine form leading Canada's number one live band through a great musical retrospective. The sold-out show (one of the few Y2K events to garner positive financial support from its patrons) featured a strong cross-section of Canadian music, including The Rheostatics, Starling and others. For those unlucky to get a ticket, The 'Hip graced the airwaves of the CBC's 26 hour coverage of the birth of the new millennium by appearing live on TV for the first time in their ten-plus year history.
