Former Clash frontman, Joe Strummer was in fine form for a recent live performance at The Warehouse in Toronto, supported by his new group, The Mescaleros. Joe thrilled the full house with a mix of Clash favourites, solo material from recent years, as well as songs from The Mescaleros new album, the eclectic Rock Art & The X-Ray Style. The crowd responded to Joe's call-and-chant gospel punk style with lots of "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhs," most notably during a rendition of "Pressure Drop." Celebrity watchers would have noticed Jay Bennett of Wilco at Strummer's late night gig, after having wowed the crowd with a loose crowd-pleasing performance at the Phoenix earlier in the evening. Later, Strummer and friends joined hardcore fans at the Bovine Sex Club for an after-party of merriment. To check out more live photos from this concert.
