Gord Downie:
Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip is Canada's muse. Like Kahlil Gibran, Winston Churchill and The Fonz all rolled into one, he is our poet laureate, our spiritual confessor and the ultimate in cool. His eccentric words and wisdoms permeate the national consciousness so deeply that our speech is often riddled with Downieisms. And on top of all that, he's a hell of a nice guy.
