s Digits, producer Alt Altman accomplishes the sizeable task of creating melodic, brooding eighties synth-pop without camp or irony, each song crafted with tactful melody and restrained instrumentation. We caught him performing an earlier song, “Rachel Marie,” at Steam Whistle’s 24th Unsigned concert showcase, and spoke to him about his craft.
