CHARTattack: So, you're about to play the big industry event that is Canadian Music Week. What's the most shameless thing you've ever done to promote your band?
Ian LeFeuvre: Probably just trying to promote something to someone before it's appropriate to do so. With Starling, I was definitely super shameless. I was out every night talking it up.

What's the hardest part about being an up-and-coming band?

Trying to get noticed in a sea of stuff.

How important is it for your band members to circulate and flirt with the audience before or after the show?
I think before is a bit distracting and can get a bit weird, but I think it's a nice thing to make yourself accessible and to thank people for coming out. If someone wants to talk to you about what they heard or they have something to offer, I'm all ears. I think it's important to do that.

Have you ever stolen from someone else's rider? If so, who was it and what did you take?
We stole from Sloan's dressing room when we played a convention for Paul Martin. Both bands got hired to do it, and I think we pilfered that room pretty good.

Have you ever been graded before according to CHARTattack.com's Rock 'N' Roll Report Cards?
No.

Have you done anything new or interesting this week?

I had to play some harp on a short film I was doing. I had to tune it to play four different chords. That was pretty hard. That's probably the newest thing I've done this week.

The Hundreds And Thousands play the Horseshoe Tavern on March 14 at 8:30 p.m. as part of the annual CHARTattack/Horseshoe/Canadian Music Week showcase.
