Quest For Fire are composed of former members of acclaimed acts The Deadly Snakes and Cursed. They blew minds and speakers with the powerful psychedelic stoner rock on their 2008 eponymous debut.
Chad Ross spoke with CHARTattack about his seemingly unquenchable thirst and culinary skills, which could potentially make him quite popular with fans and industry folk suffering from a mad case of post-showcase munchies.

CHARTattack: So, you're about to play the big industry event that is Canadian Music Week. What's the most shameless thing you've ever done to promote your band?
Chad Ross: Play Canadian Music Week.
What's the hardest part about being an up-and-coming band?
Beer tickets. You would think it would be easier for everyone involved if they just dropped a case of beer at our feet.
How important is it for your band members to circulate and flirt with the audience before or after the show?
I don't know. We usually just drink beer in our van.
Have you ever stolen from someone else's rider? If so, who was it and what did you take?
We've taken beer tickets. One time, we opened for Default. The promoter guy asked us to give some tickets to "those dudes in Default." We cashed in their tickets and drank the beer in our van.
Later that night, my cousin Larry drank one of their expensive bottles of Canadian Club [whiskey] and barfed on one of their laptops while they were on stage. That was at the [Bala, Ont. club] Kee To Bala.
Have you ever been graded before according to CHARTattack.com's Rock 'N' Roll Report Cards?
I fucking hope not. We got into music because we hated school.
Have you done anything new or interesting this week?
I built a fucking pizza from scratch!
Quest For Fire play the Horseshoe Tavern on March 12 at 1:10 a.m. as part of the annual CHARTattack/Horseshoe/Canadian Music Week showcase.
