Blah Blah Blah — December 2007

People like letters. So we're reprinting the letters page from our December 2007 issue. You can purchase the issue at the Chart Shop.
Hey! It's the Christmas season, which, contrary to the ideals its related holiday was supposed to be founded for, generally ends up being a clusterfuck of dealing with stupid people. If you're having a hard time dealing, just write us a letter.
You can send letters to "Blah, Blah, Blah" c/o Chart Magazine, 200-41 Britain St., Toronto, ON, M5A 1R7. You can also use this fancy "Inter-net" by emailing us at chart@chartattack.com. Make sure you include your full contact info.
OBJECTIONS TO OUR ANTI-DAVE MATTHEWS JAB
Putting down Dave Matthews is getting mundane and a cheap shot at that. All the pure evironmental, politcal and charitable acts of kindness he has done I think you can cut him some slack on the poo-poo episode. Unless of course you have contributed more to these causes then Dave Matthews (not counting the poo), then maybe you have a right to bitch. —Janet West@
This is from a Radiohead story found here. We called Dave Matthews an almost shit-spewing hippie.
A RADIOHEAD DEVOTEE CHECKS IN
Don't like the new Radiohead cd? ?Don't get it? ?It's cool man, I guess you guys can just stick it out with feature articles about Hedley, Thrice, Silverchair and poignant articles on Hanson going to Africa... —Gary MacIntyre@
Man, you totally burned us.
NO LOVE FOR ALTER BRIDGE?
I just wanted to say that I was a little bit disapointed that no review appeared for Alter Bridge's new CD Blackbird. I picked it up in its first week, and was absolutely stunned. This disc definitely tops my list of modern rock albums. This is just plain and simply, solid rock at its best. Searing guitars and soaring vocals are what this CD is all about. Defintely for fans of any type of rock and comes with my personal guarantee of enjoyment. Check it out if you have the time, and make it if you don't. —Graeme Folk@
Your personal guarantee of enjoyment feels like getting stabbed in the ear.
STRYPER FAN STILL HAS FAITH
A tonne of people still listen to Stryper. Don't be so ignorant... just because you don't. —Mark Giesbrecht@
You can find this gem here.
LOVE FOR OUR WRITERS
Comment: For Shaun Hatton. Please don't review any more albums. Go be a cashier. —joe Mitchell@
Funny enough, he totally is a cashier.
MATT GOOD GOSSIP
Comment: Something to investigate, perhaps? I can't help but be curious, ‘cause it looks like a pretty nasty move ... on the part of Matthew Good. From his latest blog ("Show Day, Brandon") "Unfortunately, Dala was unable to make the rest of the dates due to their inability to travel the distances. They were initially traveling (sic) on my bus, but on this leg I have had some close friends sign up to finish the tour with me, so it was a priority that they be given room on the bus instead." Sounds like he kicked off the opening act so his buddies could hop on the bus. Dala has it as "scheduling conflict" but it looks as if Matthew just outed himself. —isolationlogo@
Make of this what you will, kids.
STALKER MAKES GOOD WITH SUB RENEWAL

Oh, and I didn't mean to offend anyone with my last letter, and just to prove how much I love this magazine, I've renewed my subscription! ANYWAY, I've run out of things to say, so...????...that's cool, right?e best show ever! p.s. ANTI-FLAG!!! —Sasha Ostrowski@

WEEN-ER DISAGREES WITH US
Comment: Ween Review. What a terrible review. your reviewer shows up LATE, and dosnt know where he is going? what the hell does that have to do with the show? i thought Sound Academy was great. at leasy much better then it was when it was The Docks. —Erik Paquette@
