James Bryan McCollum is probably more recognizable as the towering, hunky, blonde guitarist Milo – one half of Canadian cartoon pop band Prozzäk.

Born out of fist fight between two members of The Philosopher Kings (Jay Levine & James Bryan McCollum) Prozzäk brought a refreshing new sound and artistic expression to the Canadian music scene in 1998.

Now, nearly 20 years later Jay & James have reunited their cartoon avatars, Simon & Milo for a cross country tour and a brand new album, Forever 1999. In 2017 Prozzäk is still sticking to the theme that made them so relatable in the 90s, searching for love in all the wrong places.  Forever 1999 is more than a nostalgia trip; it’s a solid album that transports Prozzäk to a whole new era. Their fourth studio album hit record shelves today (March 31st) just as they kick off their Forever 1999 tour with two sold out shows at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.

We caught up with James to chat about the creation, reunion and future of the band.
