Here’s another from riot grrl supergroup Wild Flag, whose self-titled debut album comes out Sept. 13.
“Glass Tambourine” should, of course, instantly remind everyone of One Beat-era Sleater-Kinney, which, duh, only makes sense when you consider two former members of the band — Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss — are in Wild Flag. There’s also a touch of classic rock guitar hysterics and prog rock ridiculousness in that riff at the beginning, the solo and the bass part before the bridge.
Wild Flag also features Helium’s Mary Timony and The Minders’ Rebecca Cole.
