Toronto singer/songwriter Jennifer Castle released her Castlemusic album (yes, she used to perform under that moniker as well) back on April 26. Will it be on the Polaris Music Prize long list tomorrow? You’ll have to see…
“Neverride” appears on the album, and its wavering indie folk recalls artists like Tasseomancy and Eric Chenaux, with a touch of pedal steel thrown in for good measure to give it a strange kind of Old Man Luedecke country twist.
Castle can also be heard on Constantines’ Kensington Heights and Fucked Up’s “Year Of The Pig” and David Comes To Life.
