Austra features Toronto singer/songwriter Katie Stelmanis, with fresh new bleached blonde hair, along with longtime friend and ex-Galaxy member Maya Postepski on drums and former Spiral Beach bassist Dorian Wolf.
“Lose It,” along with the entirety of Austra’s Feel It Break debut album, has much more of a goth feel than anything on Stelmanis’ 2008 Join Us solo LP, and it’s way more influenced by ’80s tunes. Think of it as the light to Esben And The Witch’s really, really dark neo-darkwave.
Feel It Break comes out May 17.
