What the heck is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (or Rich Site Summary). Back in the day, RSS feeds were used to syndicate headlines, but today their widespread adoption has evolved into the inclusion of photos, forums, podcasts, event listings and more. At CHARTattack we use RSS feeds for just about every type of content we offer and the coolest thing – you can create your own feeds! Say you wanted CHARTattack news, reviews, photos, etc that pertained strictly to Silverstein – you’d visit http://CHARTattack.com/rss, create an RSS feed for Silverstein, enter the feed URL into your RSS reader and voila! Sit back and wait for the Silverstein love to pour in.

Okay, so how do I read RSS feeds?
RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader" or an "aggregator". You subscribe to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds. There are a ton of free ones available (Google Reader for example) – as my mama always said, seek and you shall find.

Except where noted (for example, most CHARTattack staff photos), you are free to copy, distribute and transmit CHARTattack content as long as you: attribute the work to the author and to CHARTattack (with a link to the original CHARTattack content); do not use this work for commercial purposes; do not alter, transform, or build upon the work.
