Love Sued For Publishing Money Wednesday July 23, 2008 @ 04:00 PM By: ChartAttack.com Staff

Maybe there was actually a method to Courtney Love's madness when she launched an online rant on Saturday about Ryan Adams being a thief who owes her $858,000 U.S. that she alleges he ran up on one of her dozens of credit cards to pay for his 2003 album, Rock N Roll.
Kurt Cobain's widow may be in need of some short-term cash now that a business management and accounting firm is suing her for $975,000 U.S. for failing to pay it a share of the profits she earned from selling a portion of her rights to Nirvana's publishing catalogue in 2006. A five-page lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday by London & Co. claims Love's The End Of Music company, which was created to oversee Cobain's intellectual property, sold the stake for $19.5 million. London & Co. says it had an oral contract with Love to receive five per cent of those earnings, which amounts to $975,000.
Though it's difficult to fully interpret what she's saying, Love was back at her keyboard again on Tuesday posting another message on her MySpace blog. Some of it made further references to Adams and the money she says rightfully belongs in her daughter's trust fund. Here's an excerpt:
"Until a few days ago, I considered him a sort of friend — I don't know. Instead of what I was stating was a fun little flirtation I dragged HIM into the darkness with that. I just didn't think I'd be charged nearly a million dollars to finance some indie record, some bogus 'career.' If he knew about these cards — and I believe he did — I have a really good reason to believe he did, simply because so much was used to pay for his 'comforts.' I'm certainly not posting the bills, but in any case, I don't like to have 'feuds' anymore than I like to stage dive. I'm older now, and it's stupid. Besides, the only real 'feud' I ever had was with Mr. Self Destruct back in the 90's and he started it."
