Backyard Tire Fire will release their first album for Hyena Records, The Places We Lived, on Aug. 26.
The album was co-produced by Backyard Tire Fire frontman Edward Anderson and Tony SanFilippo at the analogue-only Oxide Lounge Studios in the band's hometown of Bloomington, Ill last September and October. The title track, "Shoulda Shut It" and "How In The Hell Did You Get Back Here?" are streaming on Backyard Tire Fire's website. The indie pop band will autograph a copy of the new CD if you pre-order it from their site.
Ed Anderson is the group's principal songwriter and singer and also plays guitars, keyboards and percussion. He's joined in the band by his brother Matt on bass and Tim Kramp on drums. Backyard Tire Fire formed in 2001 and released a live album the next year. The band have released four albums and a DVD since then. The acoustic Sick Of Debt EP was issued in March and can be downloaded for free from the band's website.
