Vancouver's Carpenter are taking their brand of John Cougar Mellencamp-obsessed "farmcore" across Canada in the coming weeks.

Carpenter will play three close-to-home shows in May and early June before they head across Quebec, Ontario and the prairies with a variety of bands. The dates coincide with Smallman Records' release of their Law Of The Land debut LP on June 13.

Carpenter — who describe themselves as "John Cougar Emocamp" — are composed of former All State Champion frontman Dan Sioui, former By A Thread bassist Kelly Burnham, ex-Speaking Of Heroes guitarist Ryan Howlett and J.J. Heath, who used to drum with Daggermouth.
