 Windsor For The Derby |
The Kentucky Derby is always held on the first Saturday in May, but you'll have to wait until the third Tuesday of the month to hear the new album from Philadelphia via Austin, Texas post-rock band Windsor For The Derby, who will release their How We Lost CD/LP on May 20 through Secretly Canadian.
The band spent 18 months writing and recording the album in their own studio, and you can judge if it was worthwhile by checking out "Hold On," Let Go" and "Fallen Off The Earth" on their MySpace page.
Windsor For The Derby's first album, Calm Hades Float, was released in 1996. They've released five more since then, and Secretly Canadian also reissued their debut and the Minnie Greutzfeldt sophomore effort in 2006. "The Melody Of A Fallen Tree," from 2004's We Fight Til Death, was featured in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette and included on its soundtrack.
Here are the tracks on How We Lost:
- "Let Go"
- "Maladies"
- "Robin Robinette"
- "Fallen Off The Earth"
- "Hold On"
- "Forgotten"
- "Troubles"
- "What We Want"
- "Good Things"
- "Spirit Fade"
