Baseball Fans Have Red Sox And White Sox; Rock Fans Get ChinoSox

Chino Moreno wants to be known as more than the frontman for the Deftones and Team Sleep. Somewhat like Snoop Dogg and David Beckham, he wants your feet to feel comfortable and look stylish.
Moreno is selling a line of white tube socks with colourful stripes called ChinoSox. While they definitely lack a bit in the style department, they'll let you jump around like a rock star. They even have their own website, where you can buy three pairs for $18 U.S. and five for $25. Each sock has the singing skateboarder's signature inscribed inside.
"Every time I'm on tour, people come up to me and ask me about the socks I wear on stage," Moreno says in a ChinoSox MySpace blog entry.
"No one can ever seem to find dope looking skater socks, so I thought it would be cool to make my own signature line of skate socks, so that fans could get them. The five-pack has my signature sock, the ones I wear on stage — red, white and blue. They're pretty sick!"
Deftones should have a new record out in the fall, while Team Sleep's next studio effort isn't expected until 2010. If you want to know what Moreno listens to when he feels romantic, he posted a Valentine's Day mix on his blog that runs the gamut from deceased crooner Perry Como's "Far Away Places" to black metal pioneer King Diamond's "Arrival."
