NEW I MOTHER EARTH SINGER LEAKED

Although none of the guys in I Mother Earth are talking, word on who the new singer for the Toronto-based band is has actually been leaked to the world by none other than David Usher of Moist. During Moist's Toronto show at Massey Hall last weekend, Usher told the audience that Brian Byrne is the newly-anointed lead singer of I Mother Earth. (Thanks to the two ChartAttack readers who emailed us to give us the scoop!) Byrne is apparently "a kid from Eastern Canada," who has sung in bands that noone would immediately recognize or have heard of outside of his native area. Rumours are rampant that I Mother Earth will be changing its name now that the new singer has been chosen to replace original (and sexy!) singer Edwin, and the band has opted not to renew its record contract with EMI Music Canada. The band is currently negotiating a new record deal, details of which will be made available in the next three or four months, once I Mother Earth has had a chance to break in the new guy, write some new songs and are ready to re-launch themselves to the universe.

TYPE O NEGATIVE WORKS ON HOME VIDEO
