In its 10 years, Calgary's Sled Island Music & Arts Festival has established itself as one of the country's premiere music festivals, programming alt icons beside Canada's best 'n' brightest and other weirdos 4 lyfe like some Canadian All Tomorrow's Parties (except this one's running stronger than ever). It's also great for discovery.
It's always done exceptionally well on the indie rock and post-punk files. If that sounds like your thing, Sled Island has outdone itself this year, boasting (June 22-26) performances by Guided By Voices, Peaches (who also guest curates), Deafheaven, Psychic TV, and more. That's a whole bunch of ticks off the ol' bucket list, we'd bet. You can find the full lineup and schedule here.
This year, Olympic Plaza, the festival's day-long centrepiece (June 25) has Guided By Voices, Built To Spill, SUUNS, Land of Talk, Speedy Ortiz, Moon King, The Radiation Flowers, Dream Whip and DJ Evan Van Reekum.
If that's got your mouth watering, you're in luck: Chart Attack has a pair of guest list spots at the Olympic Plaza show for (1) lucky winner. You could be front row catching the wind off Robert Pollard's front kick.
For a chance to win, all you need to do is follow @ChartAttack on Twitter, and retweet this tweet:

One winner will be randomly chosen. This contest closes Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m.
And to wet your whistle, Chart Attack is presenting a Sled Island showcase featuring some of the country's best loved indie lifers Thursday, January 23 at Ship & Anchor. We're not just about the veteran indie heroes, but when they're as fun as these we can definitely get down with them.
