Band 2 Band: Catfish and the Bottlemen’s favourite British slang

Sep 16, 2016
Our video series Band 2 Band helps artists learn more about each other in the most natural way we could think of: by pulling questions out of a jar and asking them to each other.

Catfish and the Bottlemen are a rock band from Wales. Catfish the Bottleman is a busker in Sydney, Australia who performs on beer bottles. Know the difference! You don't want to mistakenly end up to a gig with a dude and some beer bottles on the stage when you wanted to see the latest band NME has been raving about. Or maybe that was your intention.

Bottlemen Van and Bondy stopped by our famous morning talk show, Band 2 Band, for a round of laughs and good times. After over a decade playing together, the two blokes know a thing or two about each other, but The Jar uncovered even more. It turns out one of them could give a masterclass on the origins of curries in the UK. It turns out the other would like to switch places with the drummer of another famous rock band. It's one of them, innit?

Catfish and the Bottlemen's sophomore album The Ride is out now on Capitol Records.
