Our video series Band 2 Band helps artists learn more about each other in the most natural way we could think of: by pulling questions out of a jar and asking them to each other.

It's a combination that you probably didn't see coming: the original leaders of one of the best hip-hop groups of all time and the International Criminal Police Organization... Wait, no, that's not right. Let's try that again.

It's a combination that you probably didn't see coming: the leaders of one of the best hip-hop groups of all time and one of the biggest indie rock bands of the 2000s together in the studio. Banks & Steelz, the combination of RZA and Interpol's Paul Banks, is a head-turning collab, something that on paper may not make a whole lot of sense. But what's emerged is something special. Banks & Steelz is abrasive, but also incredibly smooth. On Anything But Words, RZA raps himself out of breath and Paul Banks' guitars and vocals glide in like a parachute.

They've spent some time bonding on a tour bus, but Banks and RZA still have lots to learn about each other, so Band 2 Band was the perfect set-up for the two. As they pull questions out of the fishbowl and ask them to each other, the duo creates a charming back and forth, becoming better friends with each question. What was RZA's worst job? What does Paul Banks want to ban from the world? What movie best represents Banks & Steelz? Find out right along with them.

Banks and Steelz's debut album Anything But Words is out now on Warner Music.
