Ask A Band: Into It. Over It. gives valuable life advice

Jul 20, 2016
Life is complicated and full of tough questions. We seek answers from people we respect, so who better to turn to than your favourite artists?

Evan Weiss juggles his guitar and vocals in Into It. Over It., Their / They're / There and Pet Symmetry. He might as well be the father of the resurgence of emo in the 2010s. And with that title comes a lot of responsibility: you gotta keep the kids in check. You gotta make sure everyone gets out of bed on time, pack everyone's lunches, drive everyone to school, help them with math homework, read them bedtime stories. It's a difficult job, but one that Evan is accustomed to.

Considering all the responsibilities he carries, you'd figure he would have a lot of valuable life advice to share, right? Correct. He's a powerhouse of information on a variety of difficult life tasks. What happens when you're making balloon animals and you run out of ideas? How do you stay cool at shows? How do you impress everyone at school? What do you do when your favourite band is full of garbage people? Tough questions, but he pulled through and came out on top, laying the path for a generation of winners.

Into It. Over It.'s new album Standards is out now on Triple Crown Records.
