Band 2 Band: State Champs and Neck Deep interview each other

Feb 17, 2016
Our video series Band 2 Band helps artists learn more about each other in the most natural way we could think of: by pulling questions out of a jar and asking them to each other.

The ultimate 2010s pop punk dream tour is underway right now, featuring headliners State Champs and Neck Deep with openers Knuckle Puck and Toronto's Like Pacific. Here's hoping you aren't against the entire genre, because you'd be missing some great music. State Champs and Neck Deep are two of the biggest bands in the current pop punk revival, so it only made sense for them to combine their powers and posi jumps. The next logical step was us getting them both on camera in the same interview.

Ryan Graham (of State Champs) and Matt West (of Neck Deep) turned out to be the perfect pair for this Band 2 Band. They're both blatantly honest and open, they have a huge wealth of shared experiences, and their love shines through our cameras. Oh yeah, did we mention they're real life best friends?

In this video, the ppbffs share their cutest moments together, compare tattoos, predict tour pets, and talk about how to take over the world. Then they gaze into each other's eyes and finish with a special moment that somehow has never happened before in Band 2 Band.  Watch 'til the end and you'll see what we mean.

"Interview of the year," says West.

State Champs' Around The World And Back is out now on Pure Noise Records.
Neck Deep's Life's Not Out to Get You is out now on Hopeless Records.
