Ask A Band: Frank Turner’s advice on how to get famous

Jan 13, 2016
Life is complicated and full of tough questions. We seek answers from people we respect, so who better to turn to than your favourite artists?

As Frank Turner preps for his trek across Canada, we figured we'd get his northern audience acquainted with the non-musician side of him. He'll play in front of thousands and, given his diehard cult of fans, there's bound to be one or two people at his shows dying to ask him a question. We did the legwork and got the answers to the questions people want to hear.

Trying to find the right career path? Are the boys being annoying at school? Frank has the answers. If you've ever found yourself lying awake at night wondering what it would be like to be famous, and in turn, wondering how you get famous, then Frank Turner has some advice for you too. A warning, though: it might not be what you want to hear.

Frank, after all the advice you shared with us, we have some advice for you: It's cold as hell up here so bring a warm jacket and a nice patterned scarf.

Frank Turner's Positive Songs for Negative People is out now on Xtra Mile Recordings. For all of his Canadian tour dates (and there are a lot of them) head here.
