Band 2 Band: Tasseomancy want you to know what it really means to have a twin

Aug 7, 2015
Our video series Band 2 Band helps artists learn more about each other in the most natural way we could think of: by pulling questions out of a jar and asking them to each other.

Sari and Romy Lightman are a delight to be around. They have beaming smiles and write perfect nighttime folk songs that make you want to float away into the sunset and leave the world behind. Everyone knows that they're twin sisters, but, they want you to know, that has nothing to do with their music. They're two completely different people crafting music for your ears, who just so happen to be related. It doesn't change the way they interact, think, write, or live. They clear the air on the word "twin" in this episode of Band 2 Band.

If that alone doesn't make you want to watch it, know that the Toronto/Montreal-based sister/songwriters create dating profiles for each other, compare their dream concerts, and talk about a geode convention that almost tore them apart when they were kids. How about now?

Tasseomancy's new album Palm Wine Revisited is available now on Healing Power Records.
