Watch Luke Lalonde perform Born Ruffians’ “Needle” live and solo at Sonic Boom for Record Store Day 2014

Apr 24, 2014

Last weekend was the 2014 edition of Record Store Day, and if you weren't able to attend our beer-fuelled showcase of live music, my heart bleeds for you. It was FUN! All caps, exclamation point. Hell, I'll even go bold: FUN!

Our live music showcase kicked off at noon with a last minute but highly welcome addition to the schedule: a solo set from Born Ruffians frontman Luke Lalonde, pulling from both his solo record Rhythymnals and the Ruffians' discography. Here's a snapshot of the latter, an excellent performance of "Needle" from the band's 2013 LP Birthmarks.

Thank you to Sonic Boom for having us, Pistonhead Lager for bringing that delicious beer, our performers for donating their time to support Record Store Day, and to everyone who came to hang out with us! Stay tuned for more videos from Record Store Day tomorrow and every day next week.
