| BACKGROUND/COMPOSITION: |
| An eight-member hip hop/pop hybrid group with a four-person horn section, Down With Webster really are indescribable. They're flashy and obnoxious, but fun and loveable. With more neon clothing than an American Apparel ad, these guys make sure all eyes are on them at all times. Not to say their unstoppable energy doesn't have something to do with that. |

| Comment: Down With Webster are the guys who skipped school and got away with it. With multiple frontmen bouncing on and off stage to take their turn at the mic, the band exploded onto the stage and never slowed down or stopped. Words will never really describe the Down With Webster experience. Just go see them yourself. Right now. |

If anyone has an image, it's Down With Webster. Some members sported blue briefs, other wore black ski masks, and still others wearing every kind of hipster garb you can conjure up (think neon, plastic and tacky), this band want to stand out. One member even looks like he just graduated elementary school, and his koala backpack didn't help his plight. |

Meshing pop with hip hop isn't as easy as it sounds if you want to come up with something unique, but Down With Webster actually got the people of Toronto on their feet right from the get-go. White-boy rap might not seem appealing, but when you've got guys with this kind of stage presence and skill, it doesn't really matter how it's done. Mad skillz, I tell you. |

They might sound kind of gimmicky, but Down With Webster are just plain fun. Truth be told, they do some really interesting things when it comes to combining genres. They're not only all about the spectacle. Okay, maybe they're a lot about the spectacle, but this was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
