This new disc is a reunion of sorts, culling together the Rollins Band for a whack of tunes rumoured to be more melodic than previous outings. And if that ain't enough Henry for ya, he's doing another spoken word tour AND has another acting job, this one in David Lynch's's upcoming Lost Highway. He's playing the role of a prison guard. COLLECTOR'S ALERT!Gene's upcoming album Drawn To The Deep End isn't due out 'till February, but fans won't have to wait quite that long to hear something new. The disc's first single "We Could Be Kings" will be out mid-January; the cd-single will feature the band performing a cover of The Jam's "Wasteland". ORB GET DOWNRIGHT PRIMALAccording to the folks at New Musical Express, The Orb's upcoming release Orblivion just might feature a collaboration with those talented boys in Primal Scream. In return for their efforts, the Orb plan to remix a song for the new 'Scream album. No release date yet on either disc but we'll keep ya posted.
LUSH DRUMMER'S INQUEST INFORMATION RELEASEDA brief update on the sad situation concerning Lush drummer Chris Acland's suicide last month. The inquest has published its results and found that Acland had been prescribed anti-depressants just weeks before he killed himself. According to Acland's father, Oliver, the fund set up in his memory -- one designed to refurbish the music school where the musician learned to play as a young schoolboy -- has raised more than $20,000 to date and is still growing.
