Johan Agebjorn, the musical mastermind behind disco romantic Sally Shapiro, is going it alone with his Mossebo album that will be released in North America in CD and MP3 formats by Lotuspike on Sept. 2.
Sally Shapiro will emerge from the depths of mystery (and Sweden) to perform at Toronto's Wrongbar on March 4, more than a month before a remix album arrives via Paper Bag Records.
Electronic musician Johan Agebjorn is undoubtedly a man of extremes. When he decided to branch out from his usual ambient fare last year, he enlisted the vocal talents of fellow Swede Sally Shapiro — whose real name remains a mystery — and ventured into the world of disco.
